TB-500

Also known as Thymosin Beta-4 fragment, TB4

Synthetic fragment related to Thymosin Beta-4 studied for tissue repair.

Medical status: Not approved as a medicine; banned in competitive sport.

Also commonly used for (off-label)

  • Whole-body soft-tissue recovery
  • Chronic or stubborn injuries
  • Flexibility and range of motion

Off-label and research uses are what people report, not approved indications. Talk to a clinician before using any of them.

How it's taken

Availability varies by supplier — injectable is the most commonly researched form.

Documented dose
1000–2500 mcg
Typical frequency
Twice weekly (loading), then as needed to maintain
Cycle
8 weeks on, 4 off
Half-life
~2-3 days (estimated)
Common vial sizes
5 mg, 10 mg
Regulatory status
Not approved for human use; banned by WADA.

Dose on a U-100 syringe (1000–2500 mcg)

VialBAC waterDraw
5 mg1 mL20–50 units
10 mg1.5 mL15–38 units
10 mg2 mL20–50 units

On a U-100 syringe, 100 units = 1 mL, and the syringe holds 100 units total. Most people keep a single subcutaneous injection under about 50 units — bigger volumes are usually mixed stronger (less water) or split into two shots. Only mixes that fit in one syringe are shown. Always double-check with the reconstitution calculator.

What it does

A synthetic version of an active piece of Thymosin Beta-4, a protein involved in cell movement and repair. It helps cells migrate into damaged areas and encourages new blood vessels to grow there. What people look into it for: • Muscle, tendon and ligament recovery after injury or hard training • Better flexibility and less scar-tissue stiffness • Wound healing and reduced inflammation • Heart tissue repair in animal research It is often paired with BPC-157: TB-500 works more systemically throughout the body while BPC-157 works strongly at the site of injury.

Mechanism

Binds G-actin and promotes actin polymerisation, cell migration and angiogenesis.

Storage — lyophilisedwhat's this?

Refrigerate 2-8C, protect from light.

Storage — reconstitutedwhat's this?

Refrigerate 2-8C, use within ~28 days.

Reconstitution noteswhat's this?

Common mix: 10 mg vial + 2 ml bacteriostatic water = 50 mcg per unit, so 1 mg is 20 units and 2.5 mg is 50 units. Most weekly totals land between 2 mg and 5 mg split over two or three days.

Stacks well with

Popular combinations reported in the community and research literature — not a recommendation. Adding peptides multiplies side-effect risk; check with a clinician.

Commonly reported side effects

  • Fatigue after dosing
  • Head rush
  • Injection-site irritation

Contraindications noted

  • Active malignancy (theoretical)
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Research notes

Human data limited; most claims extrapolated from animal wound-healing models.
