Ipamorelin
Also known as NNC 26-0161
Selective ghrelin receptor agonist and GH secretagogue.
Medical status: Not approved as a medicine.
Also commonly used for (off-label)
- Sleep quality and recovery
- Lean-mass support and fat loss
- Gentle growth-hormone support without hunger spikes
- Commonly stacked with CJC-1295 (no DAC)
Off-label and research uses are what people report, not approved indications. Talk to a clinician before using any of them.
How it's taken (route)
a small shot into the fat just under the skin (belly, thigh, or love handle)

- Documented dose
- 100–300 mcg
- Typical frequency
- 1–3 times daily, 5 days on / 2 days off
- Cycle
- 12 weeks on, 4 off
- Half-life
- ~2 hours
- Common vial sizes
- 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg
- Regulatory status
- Not approved for human use.
Dose on a U-100 syringe (100–300 mcg)
| Vial | BAC water | Draw |
|---|---|---|
| 2 mg | 2.5 mL | 13–38 units |
| 2 mg | 3 mL | 15–45 units |
| 5 mg | 2.5 mL | 5.0–15 units |
| 5 mg | 3 mL | 6.0–18 units |
| 10 mg | 2.5 mL | 2.5–7.5 units |
| 10 mg | 3 mL | 3.0–9.0 units |
On a U-100 syringe, 100 units = 1 mL, and the syringe holds 100 units total. Most people keep a single subcutaneous injection under about 50 units — bigger volumes are usually mixed stronger (less water) or split into two shots. Only mixes that fit in one syringe are shown. Always double-check with the reconstitution calculator.
What it does
A gentle ghrelin mimic that tells the pituitary to release a clean pulse of growth hormone. It is popular because it does this without meaningfully raising cortisol (stress hormone), prolactin or hunger. What people look into it for: • Deeper sleep and better overnight recovery • Gradual lean-muscle gain and fat loss • Joint, tendon and skin repair • A milder side-effect profile than older GH secretagogues It is often stacked with CJC-1295 (no DAC) because the two work through different doorways and produce a bigger pulse together.
Mechanism
Selective GHS-R1a agonist triggering pituitary GH release.
Storage — lyophilisedwhat's this?
Refrigerate 2-8C, protect from light.
Storage — reconstitutedwhat's this?
Refrigerate 2-8C, use within ~28 days.
Reconstitution noteswhat's this?
Common mix: 10 mg vial + 2.5 ml bacteriostatic water = 40 mcg per unit (100 mcg ≈ 3 units, 300 mcg ≈ 8 units). Start at 100 mcg until well tolerated.
Stacks well with
- CJC-1295 (no DAC)The most common GH stack — CJC drives the pulse, Ipamorelin triggers it, with no cortisol spike.
- CJC-1295 DACLonger-acting version of the same pairing for fewer weekly injections.
- TesamorelinUsed together when visceral fat loss is the target.
Popular combinations reported in the community and research literature — not a recommendation. Adding peptides multiplies side-effect risk; check with a clinician.
Commonly reported side effects
- Hunger
- Head rush
- Water retention
- Drowsiness
Contraindications noted
- Active malignancy
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Research notes
Commonly dosed before bed to align with natural GH pulse.
