Frequently asked questions
Getting started
How long does setup take?
- About a minute. Create an account, tap the peptides you're running, confirm the pre-filled dose and schedule, and today's doses appear on your dashboard.
What are peptides, anyway?
- Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body. Our Peptides for Beginners guide covers what they are, how they're used, and the key terms you'll see across the site.
Can I track more than one peptide at the same time?
- Yes. Build a regimen with as many peptides as you need. Each one gets its own dose, schedule, vial, and log history.
Dosing and reconstitution
Do I have to calculate syringe units myself?
- No. Enter the vial size and how much bacteriostatic water you added, and Peptide Streak shows the exact units to draw on a U-100 insulin syringe for every dose. You can also play with the reconstitution calculator before signing up.
How do I reconstitute a peptide vial?
- Most peptides ship as lyophilized powder. You slowly add bacteriostatic water along the inside wall of the vial, then let it dissolve without shaking. The calculator shows the resulting concentration, and the beginners guide explains the full mixing process.
How does vial tracking work?
- Each logged dose subtracts from the active vial, so the remaining mg and the expiry countdown stay current without any extra input.
What happens if I miss a dose?
- Missed doses are marked automatically after the scheduled time passes. You can log them as skipped or taken later from your dashboard or regimen history.
Is the calculator free to use?
- Yes. The reconstitution calculator and the peptide library are open to everyone, no account required.
Research and purchasing
Where can I learn about a specific peptide?
- Browse the peptide library for clinical-style profiles on each compound, including typical dosing, routes, half-life, and storage notes.
Where do I buy peptides or supplies?
- Our vendors page lists recommended research peptide vendors and Amazon supply links for bacteriostatic water, syringes, and storage. Peptide Streak does not sell peptides directly.
What is bacteriostatic water and why do I need it?
- Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with a small amount of benzyl alcohol that prevents bacterial growth once a vial is punctured. It's the standard liquid used to reconstitute peptide powders. The beginners guide goes deeper on storage and reconstitution.
Your data and privacy
Can I use Peptide Streak on my phone?
- Yes. Peptide Streak is a web app that works in any browser. You can also save it to your home screen for an app-like experience on iOS and Android.
Can I export or delete my data?
- Any time. Settings has a one-tap JSON and CSV export, and account deletion removes your records and any uploaded files.
Is my data private?
- Yes. Every user only sees their own regimen, logs, and vials. Row-level security keeps your records isolated in the database.
Safety and pricing
