- Documented dose
- 2–4 mg
- Typical frequency
- Once daily
- Cycle
- 8 weeks on, 4 off
- Half-life
- ~20 minutes after injection, with biological effects lasting much longer
- Common vial sizes
- 10 mg
- Regulatory status
- Research use only
Dose on a U-100 syringe (2–4 mg)
| Vial | BAC water | Draw |
|---|---|---|
| 10 mg | 1 mL | 20–40 units |
On a U-100 syringe, 100 units = 1 mL, and the syringe holds 100 units total. Most people keep a single subcutaneous injection under about 50 units — bigger volumes are usually mixed stronger (less water) or split into two shots. Only mixes that fit in one syringe are shown. Always double-check with the reconstitution calculator.
What it does
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid peptide derived from erythropoietin that retains tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory effects without stimulating red blood cell production. It is studied mainly for small-fiber neuropathy, metabolic health, and wound healing.
Mechanism
ARA-290 activates the innate repair receptor (a heterodimer of the EPO receptor and CD131), triggering anti-inflammatory and tissue-repair signaling. This pathway promotes nerve fiber regeneration and reduces chronic inflammation without the hematopoietic effects of EPO.
Storage — lyophilisedwhat's this?
Store lyophilized at -20C, sealed and protected from moisture.
Storage — reconstitutedwhat's this?
Refrigerate at 2-8C after mixing and use within 30 days.
Reconstitution noteswhat's this?
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water; swirl gently until clear. Do not shake.
Commonly stacked with
- BPC-157
- TB-500
Commonly reported side effects
- Mild injection site reactions
- Headache (uncommon)
Contraindications noted
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active malignancy (theoretical growth signaling)
Research notes
ARA-290 has human clinical trial data in sarcoidosis-related small-fiber neuropathy and type 2 diabetes, making it one of the better-studied research peptides for nerve repair.
